Can the Creighton Model FertilityCareSystem (CrMS) help with irregular and unusual bleeding?

YES!

Many women will go to their OBGYN for irregular or unusual bleeding and instead of working with the woman to discover the underlying cause of her bleeding they will be offered a prescription for the birth control pill to shut down their fertility system and give them what appears to be a "normal" period.  We call this the Band-Aid approach.

With the CrMS our focus is on the entire health of a woman and working cooperatively with her fertility cycle. NaProTECHNOLOGY® looks for the underlying pathophysiologic events that allow for a rational approach to medical treatment.  This approach is used in most other medical specialties but is absent from reproductive medicine. Irregular or unusual bleeding may have a hormonal cause or may indicate an infection of the uterus, an endometrial polyp, or even cancer. Without a proper diagnosis and treatment for gynecological issues, a woman’s entire health is put in jeopardy.
