The following medical doctors have indicated that they practice without prescribing, performing, or referring for contraception, sterilization, abortion, or in vitro fertilization. They promote Natural Family Planning for achieving or avoiding conception and they have signed the medical consultants code of ethics with FertilityCare™ Centers of America.
In addition, the list references those doctors who practice NaProTECHNOLOGY (Natural Procreative Technology). This new women's health science provides medical and surgical treatments that cooperate completely with the reproductive system and maintain the procreative potential. Lewis D. Lipscomb, MD, FACOG, FACS, NFPMC
Medical School: University of Mississippi; School of Medicine, Jackson, MS; Residency: Wake Forest University; School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, NC; Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology
Dr. Lipscomb was born and raised in Jackson, MS. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in chemical engineering. After working in forensic toxicology for the Mississippi State Medical Examiner, he entered medical school and upon graduation, he was honored as the most outstanding student in obstetrics and gynecology. Upon completion of his residency program, Dr. Lipscomb worked for two years in Pinehurst. In 2005, he returned to Winston-Salem to join a group practice. He played a key role in bringing the da Vinci® Surgical System to Novant Health Maya Angelou Women’s Health & Wellness Center at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. He currently serves as Medical Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Maya Angelou Women’s Health & Wellness Center. In 2010-11, Dr. Lipscomb studied under Dr. Thomas Hilgers at the Pope Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction, where he decided to focus on providing a non-contraceptive approach to women’s health. In March 2012, he established Triad Obstetrics & Gynecology, North Carolina’s only purely pro-life ob-gyn practice. Dr. Lipscomb and his wife, Leslie, have three children. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with this family, tackling home improvement and landscaping projects, and following Vanderbilt sports and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Lipscombs are parishioners at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Winston-Salem.
