Can the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System (CrMS) help with infertility issues?
Infertility is a serious problem, affecting over 6.7 million women. However, all to often this condition is not taken seriously by some doctors. Infertility causes a significant amount of heartache; physical, emotional and spiritual and not being heard by a health professional only compounds the pain.
Typically a woman that has an infertility issue will be placed on medication to stimulate ovulation without looking for the cause of her infertility. If she does not get pregnant in one to three cycles, she is often referred to an artificial reproductive doctor for Invitro-fertilization (IVF). We know from experience that IVF pregnancies are more often unhealthier for the baby and the mother due to an increase in incidents of twins, triplets, preterm birth, and neonatal admissions.
We know that infertility is a symptom of an underlying disease. The diseases that cause infertility have a “two-pronged effect.” They not only effect fertility but can also affect the (over all) health of a woman. In-vitro fertilization (IVF) “skips over” the causes and acts as a “Band-Aid” approach to treatment. With the CrMS and NaProTECHNOLOGY®, we look for the underlying condition(s) and work cooperatively with a woman’s menstrual cycles and fertility cycles to correct the problems so that her body can work naturally to achieve pregnancy.
Couples with infertility issues can expect a success rate from 20%-40% using CrMS only and up to 80% will conceive with additional cooperative medical assistance with NaProTECHNOLOGY®.
